Bettie is a surreal, meditative short film exploring the life and perspective of a family's beloved Bob's Discount Furniture Chofa, Bettie. Bettie is a silent companion in this family's house, with her room containing a small ecosystem of activity. One moment it's cats quietly lying there, then a party of people chatting, next a man sleeping, then nothing at all. There is an infinite amount of things happening, with only one constant throughout, this beautiful teal couch.
Bettie lives in a little world that humans are not privy to, but in this film, we get a glimpse.

Daniel Marcus is an independent filmmaker living outside Philadelphia in Cherry Hill NJ. Having spent the majority of his childhood education at a self-directed democratic school, he was able to spend most of his time learning about and doing what he loved most, making movies. At 15 he started doing freelance videography, as well as working for his parent's company making videos and online courses. Over the years he's honed his skills as a filmmaker creating many short films and videos, while also starting his own company creatively titled "Daniel Marcus Films".
